My Role: As a lead designer I was responsible for improving and evolving the existing B2B SAAS Web App
Team: Cross-functional team of 40+ people, including engineering team, PM, and the CTO
On November 2021, I joined as the founding designer for a Swiss-based factoring company that focuses exclusively on financial services for European road transportation and logistics businesses. The product already live in the market with over 16,000 users. At the time, there were no designs or style guides in place—the entire system was based solely on ideas shared between the CTO and the engineering team. My challenge was to bring order and consistency to the design process.

Starting from scratch, I recreated the entire design system in Figma, using only the existing app as a reference. I developed a comprehensive design system that not only unified the product’s visual identity but also improved usability and brought consistency across the platform. This foundational work helped elevate the product experience and set a new standard for future development.
If I were to recreate this design system today, I would also utilise semantic and primitive tokens along with variable and style to streamline the process even more. This Design system supports both dark and light themes, but here, I’ve only showcased the light theme. By working with advanced variables and tokens, it would be much easier to manage both themes—allowing the light theme’s variables to be directly associated with the dark theme. This would result in a seamless and efficient switch between the two, making the design process more flexible and scalable.
